Dr. Melodee Fraser is the Director of Research for Pure Seed Testing, Inc. – East in Rolesville, North Carolina. Dr. Fraser received a B.S. and M.S. in Turfgrass Management from Mississippi State University and her Ph.D. in Turfgrass Breeding from Rutgers University.

Dr. Fraser’s primary research focus is on the development of tall fescue cultivars with improved resistance to brown patch. A secondary focus is on the development of improved turf-type cultivars of bermudagrass and zoysiagrass, evaluation of Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, bentgrass and fine fescue germplasm for use in the southeastern USA.
