Dr. David W. Williams is an Associate Professor in the
Department of Agronomy at the University
of Kentucky – Lexington,
Kentucky. Dr. Williams received a B.S. in
Technical Horticulture, specializing in Turfgrass Management at Eastern
Kentucky University
in Richmond. He received his M.S.
in Crop Science, specializing in Turfgrass science and followed that up with a
Ph.D. in Crop Science specializing in Turfgrass science from the University
of Kentucky, Lexington.
Dr. Williams’ M.S. thesis was Response of Dollar Spot to Dew Removal from Creeping Bentgrass and
his Ph.D. dissertation The Roles of Leaf
Surface Moisture in the Epidemiology of Dollar Spot. His current position
with the University of Kentucky
allows him to dedicate approximately 69% of his time to research, the other 31%
to instruction.
